The Western World is a periodical that includes outdoorsman inspired stories and current news of the Nelson's World and its continents, along with agricultural and commercial advertisments. This particular issue includes a story about Jimmy Allen, Ethan Allen's son, and "Words Concerning the Navy." The issue is not completed with empty column space and squares blocked out for illustrations that were never drawn. There is a list of agricultural and hunting supplies (including books, paper and pencils) on the blank last page of the document.

The Western World- (Easter Number) 1895.pdf
The Western World is a periodical that includes outdoorsman inspired stories and current news of the Nelson's World and its continents, along with agricultural and commercial advertisments. The stories include "The Lost Hunter," "A Wild Cat Hunt," "A Race for Life," and a story about sugar making that experiments with dialect writing. Stories with varied bylines not located in the Nelson's World suggest that children outside the family may have participated in the production of this 1895 periodical. The periodical also includes sophisticated pencil drawings, one of which is a comic named "A Base Bawl Game." This particular issue is the "Easter" edition.
