The Little City Democrat & Trapper is a newspaper that contains two very different entries. "Out of the Clutches of the Catholics" raises provocative questions about religious tolerance/tensions in the brother's real world, while "The Adopting of the Whelpley Long Reach Skate" provides a story about a skating competition between teams from the three continents, (1000 skaters from each team, 10,000 spectators, much pomp and ceremony) and in enormous technical detail a comparison of their brands of skates.
